Terms of service

This website is operated by Marmetica Design. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Marmetica Design. By visiting our website, making an enquiry, placing an order, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Products

Marmetica offers made-to-order stone light objects and related design pieces.

Halo Screen is a sculptural light object. It is not a television, display, monitor, or electronic content device.

Product images, renders, videos, descriptions, and samples are provided for guidance. Natural stone varies from slab to slab, and the final approved slab may differ in colour, veining, texture, pattern, translucency, surface character, and intensity.

Made-to-order process

Most products are produced on demand around an approved natural stone slab.

The process may include:

  1. enquiry or order
  2. stone direction or material selection
  3. review of available slab options
  4. customer approval of the selected slab
  5. production of stone and base components
  6. freight, customs, receiving, delivery, and placement coordination

Production begins only after order confirmation, payment or deposit, and any required approvals.

Once payment or deposit has been received and the selected slab, specification, or order details have been approved, Marmetica may begin sourcing, reservation, supplier payments, fabrication, logistics booking, customs preparation, and production immediately. From that point, the order is treated as a custom made-to-order order and cannot usually be cancelled, returned, or refunded except where required by applicable law.

Pricing

Prices may vary depending on stone availability, selected material, origin, destination, duties, taxes, freight, installation requirements, receiving warehouse requirements, final-mile delivery, and access conditions.

Unless clearly stated otherwise in the final quotation or invoice, taxes, duties, customs charges, remote-location delivery, receiving warehouse services, storage, cranes, special handling, final-mile delivery, unpacking, placement, assembly, or complex access costs may be charged separately.

Payment

Orders may require full payment or a deposit before production begins. Payment terms will be confirmed in the quotation, invoice, checkout, or order confirmation.

An order is not confirmed until payment has been received and accepted.

Delivery and placement

Delivery and placement are handled according to our Delivery & Placement Policy.

Delivery may involve freight companies, customs brokers, receiving warehouses, final-mile partners, stone handlers, art handlers, furniture handlers, or white-glove delivery teams.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and access information. Additional charges may apply if access details are incomplete, inaccurate, or change after quotation.

For trade clients, designers, galleries, hotels, or customers with their own receiving warehouse or installer, delivery may be arranged as crated freight to a commercial receiving address. In that case, final unpacking, handling, placement, assembly, and local insurance may be the responsibility of the receiving party unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Customer-facing paperwork

Supplier invoices, customs documents, and non-essential supplier paperwork may be used for freight, customs, insurance, and accounting purposes. These documents are not intended as customer-facing delivery paperwork.

Where possible, final customer delivery may be accompanied by Marmetica delivery paperwork, condition receipt, care notes, and any documents required for delivery or local compliance.

Natural materials

Natural stone can include natural fissures, veining, colour shifts, mineral movement, surface variation, density variation, translucency variation, and other characteristics. These are part of the material and are not defects.

Stone may be reinforced, treated, sealed, or finished according to standard stone-industry practice where appropriate.

Design refinement

Minor design, base, support, lighting, cable, hardware, packaging, or dimensional adjustments may be made for stability, safety, compliance, transport, customs, handling, or placement requirements, provided the overall design intent is preserved.

Returns and cancellations

Returns, refunds, and cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

Made-to-order and custom products cannot usually be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has started, except where required by applicable law.
