This website is operated by Marmetica Design. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Marmetica Design. By visiting our website, making an enquiry, placing an order, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Products

Marmetica offers made-to-order natural-stone light objects and related design pieces.

Halo Screen is a sculptural light object. It is not a television, display, monitor, or electronic content device.

Product images, renders, videos, descriptions, and samples are provided for guidance. Natural stone varies from slab to slab, and the final approved slab may differ in colour, veining, texture, pattern, translucency, surface character, and intensity.

Made-to-Order Process

Most products are created on demand around an approved natural stone slab.

The process may include:

enquiry or order;
stone direction or material selection;
review of available slab options;
customer approval of the selected slab;
production of the stone and base components;
final preparation and quality control;
delivery and placement arrangements where requested.

Production begins after order confirmation, payment or deposit, and any required approvals.

Once payment or deposit has been received and the selected slab, specification, or order details have been approved, Marmetica may begin sourcing, reserving materials, making supplier payments, fabrication, and production immediately.

From that point, the order is treated as a custom made-to-order order and cannot usually be cancelled, returned, or refunded except where required by applicable law.

Typical creation time is approximately 3–4 weeks after material approval. Delivery time is additional and varies according to material origin, destination, customs, and selected delivery service.

Pricing

Product prices shown on the website do not include delivery unless expressly stated otherwise.

Delivery and placement are quoted separately according to destination, access, handling, and installation requirements.

Prices may vary where a product involves individually selected or exceptionally rare materials, unusual fabrication requirements, custom specifications, or other agreed modifications.

Applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, receiving warehouse services, storage, cranes, specialist handling, installation, or other destination-specific costs may also be charged separately where applicable.

Any final quotation or invoice provided by Marmetica will set out the applicable price and agreed services for that order.

Payment

Orders may require full payment or a deposit before production begins. Payment terms will be confirmed in the quotation, invoice, checkout, or order confirmation.

An order is not confirmed until the required payment has been received and accepted and any required material or specification approvals have been completed.

Delivery & Placement

Delivery is arranged separately from the product purchase unless expressly stated otherwise.

Marmetica can coordinate international delivery and placement on request. The appropriate route is determined according to the origin of the selected stone, final destination, access requirements, and selected level of service.

Delivery may involve freight companies, customs brokers, receiving warehouses, final-mile partners, stone handlers, art handlers, furniture handlers, or white-glove delivery teams.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and access information. Additional charges may apply if access details are incomplete, inaccurate, or change after quotation.

For trade clients, designers, galleries, hotels, or customers using their own receiving warehouse, freight forwarder, or installer, collection or delivery may be arranged to a designated commercial receiving point. Final unpacking, handling, placement, assembly, and local insurance may then be the responsibility of the receiving party unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Natural Materials

Natural stone is inherently unique and may include natural fissures, veining, colour shifts, mineral movement, surface variation, density variation, translucency variation, and other characteristics. These are part of the natural material and are not considered defects.

Stone may be reinforced, treated, sealed, polished, or otherwise finished according to appropriate stone-industry practices.

The customer-approved slab forms the material basis of the commissioned piece.

Design Refinement

Minor adjustments to the base, support, lighting, cable routing, hardware, packaging, dimensions, or construction may be made where reasonably necessary for stability, safety, compliance, transport, handling, or placement, provided that the overall design intent and visual proportions are preserved.

Returns & Cancellations

Returns, refunds, and cancellations are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Made-to-order and custom products cannot usually be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has started, except where required by applicable law.

Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep product and service information accurate and current, but website content may contain errors, omissions, or information that becomes outdated.

Material availability, particularly for rare natural stone, may change without notice.

We may update products, prices, descriptions, images, specifications, policies, delivery methods, or availability from time to time.

Changes to website pricing do not affect an order already accepted at an agreed price unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

Affiliate & Referral Program

Marmetica Design may operate an affiliate or referral program through which approved third parties may receive a commission for qualifying purchases referred to us.

Affiliates act independently and are not employees, agents, representatives or authorised dealers of Marmetica Design. Unless expressly authorised in writing, affiliates may not make commitments, warranties, representations or agreements on behalf of Marmetica Design.

Affiliate commissions, eligibility, tracking, attribution and payment are governed by the applicable affiliate programme terms. Marmetica Design may approve, decline, suspend or terminate participation in the programme in accordance with those terms.

Any affiliate relationship does not change the price, product terms, warranty, delivery arrangements or other conditions applicable to a customer’s purchase unless a specific promotion or discount is expressly offered.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marmetica Design is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, supplier delays, freight delays, customs delays, warehouse delays, installation delays, access problems, or inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the customer’s jurisdiction and cannot lawfully be excluded.
