Entertainment no longer belongs to one room. It follows people through phones, flights, hotels, trains and every spare moment between projects. The home can become something else.
Halo Screen began from that shift: the most familiar object in the room - the screen - is transformed into something permanent. A surface no longer asking for attention, but worthy of it.
Marmetica Design is built around the belief that time, attention, and state of mind are forms of luxury. Halo Screen is made for people whose lives are already full. People who do not need the room to revolve around another stream, episode or feed.
The stone becomes the image. The light becomes the atmosphere. The room returns to the people inside it. This is not anti-technology. It is about a more selective relationship with it: A quiet object for those who choose what deserves their attention.
The Cave Escape
For centuries, the screen has offered an escape from the physical world — first through pictures, then cinema, television, and now an endless flow of digital content.
Halo Screen reverses that relationship. It keeps the screen as an object, but removes its ability to take us somewhere else. In place of a moving image is something physically present: natural stone, shaped by geological time, and light that belongs to the room around it.
The idea is not to reject technology or entertainment, but to question the assumption that a screen must always contain something to watch.
Sometimes the escape is not into the screen, but away from it.
The Design Language
Halo Screen keeps the familiar 16:9 proportion because it already belongs to the visual memory of contemporary life.
The stone is held like a monumental canvas: a natural image formed by pressure, time, and mineral movement rather than pixels. The visible top clamp gives the object a deliberate point of tension, like the edge of a suspended artwork or the eyebrow of a contemporary device.
The matte-black base keeps the memory of the television form, but turns it into sculpture. The halo is placed behind the object, reversing the logic of the screen: instead of light projecting content toward the viewer, light returns to the wall, the stone, and the room.
The Studio
Marmetica Design was founded by artist and designer Stepan Myannik, whose practice spans fine art, design and sculptural objects.
The studio works with specialist stone suppliers and manufacturing partners to realise each piece. Natural stone is individually selected, while the structural elements are developed and produced with specialist workshops in Italy.
Our purpose is not to capture attention, but to return it to the physical world.

What is Halo Screen?
Halo Screen is a sculptural stone light object inspired by the proportion of a television. It is not a TV, display, or media device. It is made to bring stone, light, and presence into interiors that no longer need to revolve around screen content.

Is the base made in Italy?
The matte-black metal base is handcrafted in Italy to support the selected stone panel and give the object its architectural profile. It is designed exclusively as part of the Halo Screen
How is the stone selected?
After you contact us, we discuss the material direction: marble, onyx, granite, quartzite, gemstone, colour, atmosphere, and destination. We then check available stones through our international material network and return with suitable options for review.
For expressive or rare stones, available slabs may be shown before production. For more consistent editions, Marmetica curates the material direction and confirms suitability for the Halo Screen format.
Why Made to Order?
Desire begins before the object arrives. It is the anticipation before stone, light, and presence become yours.
Halo Screen is created as a private commission. The stone is selected and approved where applicable, and the metal structure is produced in Italy specifically for the order.
How long does it take?
Creation time is approximately 3–4 weeks after material approval.
Delivery time is additional and varies according to the stone’s origin, destination, customs requirements and selected delivery service.
What is included?
Each Halo Screen includes a natural stone panel, matte-black metal structure produced in Italy, concealed rear halo lighting, remote control, installation hardware, and care notes.
Delivery and placement are arranged separately.
Is delivery included?
No. Delivery is arranged separately and quoted according to destination, access and installation requirements.
Marmetica can coordinate complete delivery on request, or customers and trade partners may arrange collection or transportation using their own logistics provider.

What happens if the piece is damaged during delivery?
The object must be inspected on arrival. Any visible damage should be photographed and reported as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours. Delivery, freight, and insurance claims depend on the route.
