Delivery & Placement
Halo Screen is a large, heavy, made-to-order stone object and requires appropriate handling during transport, delivery and placement.
Delivery is not included in the listed product price unless expressly stated otherwise. Delivery is arranged separately and quoted according to destination, access, handling and installation requirements.
Marmetica can coordinate the complete delivery of your Halo Screen on request. Customers, designers and trade clients may also arrange their own suitable collection or delivery service where agreed in advance.
Delivery Quote
Delivery costs are calculated individually according to the destination and requirements of each project.
A delivery quotation may take into account:
- destination and delivery address;
- origin of the selected stone;
- international or regional freight;
- customs and brokerage requirements;
- receiving or specialist handling;
- final-mile delivery;
- property access;
- stairs, elevators and restricted entrances;
- unpacking, placement or light assembly;
- specialist equipment where required.
Where possible, known delivery costs will be quoted before production begins or before the relevant delivery service is confirmed.
Delivery Process
The delivery route varies according to the selected material, its origin, the destination and the service requested.
Natural stone may originate from Italy or another country. Depending on the selected material, production requirements and destination, components may be transported to Italy for production, inspection or consolidation before onward delivery, or may follow another suitable logistics route. The metal structure is produced in Italy.
Marmetica will determine an appropriate logistics route for any delivery that we coordinate, taking into account the origin of the components, destination, customs requirements and handling needs.
Depending on the project, delivery may involve freight companies, customs brokers, receiving warehouses, specialist handlers, final-mile carriers or white-glove delivery teams.
Access & Placement
Before delivery or placement is arranged, we may ask for information including:
- full delivery address;
- floor level;
- elevator availability and dimensions;
- doorway and hallway clearance;
- stairs, steps or thresholds;
- parking and loading access;
- building restrictions;
- preferred delivery timing; and
- contact details for the customer or authorised receiving person.
Accurate information is important because Halo Screen is a large and heavy stone object.
Where specialist placement is requested, final positioning must allow appropriate clearance, stability, handling space and access to power.
The stone panel and base should be handled and assembled by suitably experienced persons. Damage resulting from inappropriate handling, lifting, unpacking, assembly or installation by the customer or third parties may not be covered by Marmetica or transport insurance.
White-Glove & Specialist Delivery
Where available, Marmetica can arrange specialist or white-glove delivery according to the destination and project requirements.
This may include receiving, inspection, final-mile transport, unpacking, placement and light assembly.
Availability and cost vary by location and will be confirmed separately.
Customer-Arranged Delivery
Customers, designers, galleries and trade clients may use their own freight forwarder, receiving warehouse, delivery company or installer where agreed with Marmetica.
In these cases, responsibility for transport, insurance, customs clearance, receiving, unpacking, handling, placement or installation will depend on the agreed delivery arrangement and will be confirmed before collection or dispatch.
Storage & Customer Availability
Where Marmetica coordinates delivery, the customer or an authorised representative must be available to receive the piece at the agreed time.
If delivery cannot be completed because of customer unavailability, inaccurate access information, building restrictions or a requested postponement, storage or re-delivery may be required.
Additional storage, handling, insurance, waiting time, failed-delivery or re-delivery charges resulting from these circumstances may be charged separately.
Additional Charges
Additional costs may apply where a project requires services or conditions beyond the agreed delivery quotation, including remote or difficult locations, restricted access, stairs, specialist lifting equipment, cranes or hoists, storage, receiving services, repeated delivery attempts, specialist installation or building-specific documentation.
Where reasonably possible, known additional costs will be communicated before the relevant service is arranged.
Taxes, Duties & Customs
Applicable duties, taxes, import charges, customs or brokerage fees vary according to the destination, country of origin, product configuration and applicable law.
Unless expressly included in Marmetica’s quotation or invoice, these charges are separate from the product price and may be payable by the customer or receiving party.
Where Marmetica coordinates delivery, we will provide or arrange the documentation reasonably required for the agreed shipping route.
Inspection on Arrival
Please inspect the crate or packaging on arrival where possible.
Any visible damage should be photographed before the product is unpacked or moved and reported to Marmetica as soon as possible.
Please retain the packaging until the condition of the product has been confirmed and any potential transport claim has been reviewed.
Where a specialist receiving service has been arranged, the receiving team may perform an initial inspection before final delivery or placement.
Damage & Insurance
Freight or delivery insurance may be arranged depending on the selected delivery service.
Coverage, insured value, exclusions and claim requirements vary according to the carrier, route and service selected.
Any suspected transport damage should be reported promptly with photographs and supporting information. Claims may be affected if the product has subsequently been moved, modified, installed or handled without appropriate inspection.
Creation & Delivery Time
Typical creation time is approximately 3–4 weeks after material approval.
Delivery time is additional and varies according to the origin of the selected stone, destination, customs requirements and selected delivery service.
An estimated delivery schedule will be provided once the material, destination and delivery arrangement are confirmed.
Important Note
Each Halo Screen is made to order, and delivery requirements vary from project to project.
Marmetica may reasonably adjust packaging, handling methods or logistics routes where necessary for safety, compliance or transportation requirements while preserving the agreed product and overall design intent.
